Our American Red Cross babysitter training course is designed to prepare teens ages 11-14 for the responsibilities of caring for children. From basic childcare to emergency response, participants learn essential skills such as feeding, diapering, and age-appropriate activities, as well as CPR and first aid techniques tailored for infants and children. Upon completion, participants receive an American Red Cross digital babysitting certification (no expiration), validating their competency and readiness to provide safe and responsible childcare. Instructor led course of 6.5 hours. Min 4; Max 10
Ages 11-14. Course includes all the Babysitters Training material PLUS adds Pediatric (Child and Infant) CPR and First Aid certifications. Digital certification (Babysitters no expiration, CPR/First Aid 2 year expiration) issued at course completion. Min 4; Max 10
At Rescue Ready Resources, we also offer Safe Sitter babysitting and safety training & Certification, which goes beyond basic childcare to encompass critical safety skills and knowledge. This program covers topics such as injury prevention, handling emergencies, and basic caregiving techniques. Upon successful completion, participants earn a Safe Sitter babysitter certification, demonstrating their commitment to providing safe and reliable childcare services. In addition, students learn important business skills such as how to screen jobs, set a wage, and work with employers. Min 3; Max 8.
Grades 4-6. This course includes the information taught in the Safe Sitters Essentials Babysitters course PLUS adds more focus on CPR and First Aid skills. Min 3; Max 8.
A class geared towards mature members of the community to become caregivers. Many things have changed since you raised your children. It is important to learn the new recommendations for care based upon research from doctors and scientists studying the physical and emotional development of infants and children. grandparents and other caregivers play a vital role in child safety. Our Safe Sitter grandparents caregiver training program provides older adults with the knowledge and skills to care for grandchildren safely and confidently. From childproofing tips to emergency preparedness, this course equips grandparents with valuable tools for providing quality care while promoting a safe and nurturing environment. Learn how to safely care for infants and children and how to manage behavior, in addition to life-saving skills such choking rescue, first aid, and injury management. Min 3; Max 8.
Grades 4-6, designed for students to prepare them to be safe when they are home alone. Learn safe habits, how to prevent unsafe situations, and what to do when faced with dangers such as power failures or weather emergencies. Students are introduced to the Safe Sitter First Aid Chart and learn a system to help them assess and respond to injuries and illnesses. The program is designed to prepare students for their first steps to independence. Min 3; Max 8.
