What is Rescue Ready Resources?
Rescue Ready Resources is about training people to handle emergencies when minutes matter! My name is Renee Vanselow, and I started Rescue Ready Resources after I retired from the City of Greenfield Parks and Recreation Department. I retired in May 2022 after 31 years as the Recreation Supervisor that handled the Aquatics, Playground, Fitness, Enrichment, Dance, and Safety programs. I had a request to teach a Lifeguard class in June 2022 which I accepted thinking it would be my last hurrah. Little did I know, it led to further requests, which is when Rescue Ready Resources began.
What does Rescue Ready Resources offer?
Rescue Ready Resources is an American Red Cross Licensed Training Provider, American Heart Association Aligned Instructor, Health and Safety Institute Training Center and Safe Sitter Licensed Provider.
What makes Rescue Ready Resources different?
My mission is to provide high-quality CPR/AED, First-Aid, Babysitters Training and Lifeguard Training certification courses to individuals and organizations in our community. While there are totally online options available for training, Rescue Ready Resources believes it is the “hands on” practice with feedback that helps build the muscle memory and confidence to prepare people to best respond in an emergency.
Who does Rescue Ready Resources serve?
Rescue Ready Resources offers classes directly to businesses, churches, athletic departments, summer camps, state/federal/local government agency/department, Day Cares, Before and/or After School Programs, Health Clubs, Boy or Girl Scout Troops/ Youth Serving groups, Chiropractic offices or other groups and organizations seeking certification and / or training. Rescue Ready Resources goes directly to our clients which typically saves their staff / members time, is usually more cost effective than going outside the organization and better prepares staff / members to effectively handle emergencies right at their location.
Rescue Ready Resources also partners with local Recreation and Community Education Departments to offer classes to the public. This outreach makes it possible for Rescue Ready Resources to serve more people. These classes will be published on our website with the respective link on where you would need to register.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Rescue Ready Resources accepts Visa, Mastercard, money orders, cashier’s checks, business checks, and personal checks.
Do you give refunds?
Rescue Ready Resources, when offering classes through local recreation departments, abides by their respective registration and refund policies, these are beyond our control. When Rescue Ready Resources is the direct class provider, a full refund is not issued if you cancel or do not show for a class. However, a partial credit of fees paid will be good for 60 days towards registering for a different class. If Rescue Ready Resources needs to cancel a class, they are the direct provider for a reason such as inclement weather, natural disaster, or order of the government, a full refund will be issued.
When will my certifications expire?
All American Red Cross, American Heart Association and Health and Safety (HIS) Institute certifications are valid for two years from the date of your class.
What is the minimum age requirement to enroll in a class?
Please refer to the respective class description for the age requirement to attend. These are set by the respective certifying organization.
